Job Description:

A leading specialist provider is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN in schools across Caerphilly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to inclusive education and gain valuable experience working with children with Autism and other SEN. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time positions, working Monday to Friday, with the potential for long-term placements for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and supervise classroom activities for pupils with SEN
Assist learners in understanding lessons and staying on task
Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support
Support learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
Help with lunch and break-time routines as needed
Engage pupils in classroom and extracurricular activities
Follow school behaviour management policies

Requirements:

Experience or volunteering with children with SEN is preferred
Proactive work ethic and a patient, understanding attitude
Good understanding of special educational needs
Ability to provide supportive assistance to pupils
Team player with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work within school hours (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
