About the role:
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver classroom support, encouraging positive learning experiences for children in the foundation phase. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to support young learners’ development and foster an engaging educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day classroom support to ensure smooth lessons and activities.
  • Collaborate with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Support the development of an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Supervise and manage pupils during lessons and break times.
  • Assist with individual and group learning activities tailored to diverse needs.

Requirements:
Essential:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and environments.
  • Enthusiasm for supporting young learners’ development.
  • Reliable and committed to a full-time, long-term role.
  • Driving Licence (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or 5 are advantageous.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with children in similar educational settings.
  • Additional certificates related to teaching or safeguarding.
