Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and motivated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our client’s vibrant foundational phase team in Ely, Cardiff. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young learners’ educational journeys.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver a high-quality, inclusive learning experience for children in the early years and key stage 1. Your responsibilities will include providing classroom support, engaging students in activities, and fostering a positive, safe, and supportive environment that encourages every child's development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Class Teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of young learners
  • Assisting with classroom management and maintaining an organized, friendly, and inclusive space
  • Providing one-on-one or small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Encouraging student participation and promoting positive behavior
  • Assisting with creating and implementing educational activities to stimulate learning and development
  • Monitoring and recording student progress to support ongoing assessment strategies

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for fostering a nurturing and motivating environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, pupils, and parents
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable approach to the role
