Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider in the education sector, is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Ely, Cardiff. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality support within the foundation phase, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to teachers and students in the foundation phase.
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support individual and group activities to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a respectful atmosphere.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of educational activities under the guidance of the Class Teacher.
• Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment in line with school policies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and caring approach to supporting young learners.
• Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the school and pupils.
