Key Responsibilities:
As a Primary School Teaching Assistant based in Merthyr Tydfil, your daily duties will include:
- Providing general classroom support to teachers and pupils within the foundation phase
- Assisting in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting the delivery of planned lessons and activities, ensuring all pupils are engaged
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social development among students
- Supporting individual pupils' needs to help them achieve their full potential
- Collaborating with staff to plan and implement work tailored to student requirements
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Experience working with children, preferably within a primary education setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for helping children learn and develop
- Reliable, adaptable, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- DBS check or willingness to obtain one
