Our department is actively seeking a Teaching Assistant to work in a vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school located in Crosby. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.

Location: Crosby, Merseyside
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: Up to £90 per day

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the curriculum. You’ll help deliver engaging lessons, provide 1:1 and group support, and assist in creating a safe and supportive classroom environment. Whether you’re guiding pupils through their learning or supporting with classroom activities, your role will be crucial to their educational journey.

Key Requirements:

• Experience working with children (school, childcare, tutoring, etc.)

• A genuine interest in education and child development

• Confident in supporting learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Positive, proactive, and adaptable

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

• Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential

Duties Will Include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom

• Providing individual and small group support during lessons

• Assisting with classroom preparation and resources

• Supporting pupils with reading, writing, numeracy, and phonics

• Promoting good behaviour and positive attitudes to learning

• Supervising children during break/lunch times

• Helping with displays, classroom organisation, and administration
