We are looking for highly motivated, flexible, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant for an SEN School based in Chester.

About the Role:
Based in the heart of Chester City Centre, this is an Independent Special School for young people with autism aged 4-19 years whom may have additional learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge.
The role is full-time, long term and potentially permanent for the right candidate.
Benefits:
Weekly Pay.
Temporary to Permanent for the right candidate.

Key Requirements:

Experience and understanding of how to support young people with social, emotional, mental health needs

School experience
-
References covering the last two years (no gaps)

Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one out

Duties will include:

Supporting and supervising educational games, sports, and craft activities
-
Helping children with their reading
-
Preparing the classroom for a lesson
-
Working with pupils in small groups/and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs

Putting together displays of children’s work

Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
-
Listening to children read, reading to them, or telling them stories

Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks

Supervising group activities
