A leading specialist education provider is seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taf. This full-time, long-term role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children’s educational journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated classroom support within the foundation phase of the primary school
- Support children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties to ensure they thrive in a nurturing environment
- Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher to implement tailored learning plans and activities
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages positive behaviour and social development
- Assist with the preparation of resources and learning materials
- Supervise and assist children during lessons, breaks, and other activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable
- Strong understanding of social and emotional needs of primary-aged children
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting children’s learning
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
