Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our committed team at a specialist school located in the picturesque Lancashire countryside near Preson (PR3).

This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment, providing education and care for children and young people aged 7-19 years with Autism and related needs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will include:

  • Supporting children and young people with behavioural challenges and trauma, using autism-specific strategies.
  • Assisting teaching staff in delivering tailored educational programmes.
  • Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Building positive relationships with young people to encourage engagement and development.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:

  • Passion for working with young people and making a positive impact.
  • Awareness of behavioural issues and trauma experienced by young people.
  • Punctuality, flexibility, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in challenging situations.
  • Self-motivation and initiative.
  • Experiance workinng with young people preferably in a classroom support or teaching assistant position
