Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our committed team at a specialist school located in the picturesque Lancashire countryside near Preson (PR3).
This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive environment, providing education and care for children and young people aged 7-19 years with Autism and related needs.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people with behavioural challenges and trauma, using autism-specific strategies.
- Assisting teaching staff in delivering tailored educational programmes.
- Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
- Building positive relationships with young people to encourage engagement and development.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Passion for working with young people and making a positive impact.
- Awareness of behavioural issues and trauma experienced by young people.
- Punctuality, flexibility, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in challenging situations.
- Self-motivation and initiative.
- Experiance workinng with young people preferably in a classroom support or teaching assistant position
