Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant based in Wirral, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting pupils with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory impairments, and complex behaviours.
- Assisting with personal care and daily living activities where required.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored learning programmes.
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student development and well-being.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- Mandatory compliance with an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory pre-employment checks.
- Flexibility, energy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learners.
