Job Description:
We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join a supportive school in Liverpool This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative team, supporting learning and development for children across various age groups. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to deliver inclusive education and promote positive behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant Level 1 based in Liverpool, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children with their learning activities, both individually and in small groups, under the guidance of teaching staff
- Assisting with the preparation of resources and monitoring pupil progress
- Promoting positive behaviour and fostering an inclusive environment where all children can thrive
- Supporting children with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome, when required
- Supporting children with personal and intimate care needs, ensuring safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant Level 1, you will need:
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Experience supporting children in an educational or childcare setting
- A full enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing
