Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a SEN provision in Church Village, Pontypridd. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a dynamic educational environment. The SEN Teaching Assistant role in Church Village is ideal for professionals passionate about making a positive impact on children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and supervise learners with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
Help staff prepare classrooms for lessons and activities
Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support
Support the delivery of lessons alongside the class teacher
Assist learners during break times and lunchtime
Engage learners in classroom and outdoor activities
Follow the school’s behaviour management policies

Requirements:

At least 3 months’ experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings; SEN experience is beneficial
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC); support available for registration
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
Passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to inclusive education
