Salary: £92.59 per day (minimum)

Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners within a Secondary Pupil Referral Service in Aberdare. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual to make a positive difference in the lives of students with SEMH, SEBD, and EBD. The successful candidate will be adaptable, possess strong behaviour management skills, and be ready to start immediately. The SEN Teaching Assistant position in Aberdare provides a rewarding environment where you will support Key Stage 3 and 4 students across various settings, including one-to-one, small groups, and whole classes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom activities for learners in Key Stage 3 and 4
• Prepare classrooms and assist with lesson delivery based on teacher plans
• Maintain classroom control and manage behaviour effectively
• Be flexible and adaptable to changing daily requirements
• Work in accordance with the school’s behaviour management policies

Requirements:

• At least 3 months experience working with children, preferably with SEMH, SEBD, or EBD
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to assist with registration
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
• Right to work in the UK
