About the role:

As a Teaching Assistant at this specialist school, you will work directly with students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to promote their development and well-being. Your role is vital in creating a supportive, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere that encourages learning and personal growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Support secondary-aged learners with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored activities
• Foster positive relationships and encourage student engagement
• Help manage classroom behaviour and implement behaviour management strategies
• Support outdoor education initiatives, promoting experiential learning and well-being

Ideal candidate:

• Proven experience working with learners with social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
• Passion for outdoor education and helping students thrive
• Relevant qualifications or training in special education is advantageous

Details:

• Location: Cardiff
• Pay: £95.00 per day (minimum)
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:15 pm
