We are recruiting experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, in SEN schools and Alternative Provisions in Liverpool.

Overview:

Title: Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist
Pay: £95.00 per day minimum
Location: Various settings in Liverpool
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.15pm

What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist

  • Supporting and supervising learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD or Challenging Behaviour
  • Taking part in various Outdoor Education sessions
  • Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
  • Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
  • Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch
  • Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
  • Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies


What you'll need to be successful as a Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist

  • At least 3 months of experience working with learners with SEBD, SEMH, EBD or challenging behaviour
  • References covering the last two years 
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one
  • The right to work in the UK
