A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Team Leader to join their team in Croydon, London. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shifts, coordinate staff on duty, and ensure effective handovers and continuity of care
- Support young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and behaviour management strategies
- Maintain a safe environment by following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Complete high-quality documentation, including daily logs, incident reports, and medication records
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job guidance
- Work closely with managers and external professionals to promote positive outcomes for young people
- Foster a positive team culture with clear boundaries and consistent expectations
Requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a children’s residential setting
- Ability to work a variable shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
- Strong communication skills, resilience, and a calm, consistent approach
- Full UK driving licence (strongly desirable)
