Salary: £17.10 per hour (plus £70.50 per sleep-in night)

Children’s Residential Care Team Leader opportunities are available in St Albans, supporting young people within a safe, stable and nurturing children’s home environment. Key Responsibilities
As a Children’s Residential Care Team Leader based in St Albans, your daily duties will include:
- Leading shifts and guiding residential care staff to maintain high standards of child-centred care
- Supporting care planning, accurate record-keeping and clear reporting to ensure continuity and quality
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and robust safeguarding practices
- Promoting independence, stability and positive outcomes for children and young people in St Albans
- Contributing to a calm, structured home environment where young people can thrive
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Children’s Residential Care Team Leader, you will need:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Residential Care (essential)
- At least 1 year’s experience in residential childcare, ideally within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child-centred practice
- Willingness to work a rota including weekend availability and sleep-ins
- Enhanced DBS (required as part of safer recruitment checks)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
