Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider in children’s residential care, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant House Manager to join their team in Ribbleton. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives. As an Assistant House Manager, you will support and care for vulnerable children, working closely with a small staff team to deliver high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of care and independence programmes for young people
- Assist in managing and supervising a team of staff members
- Oversee shift patterns and ensure effective team coordination
- Foster positive relationships with young people, understanding their individual needs
- Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children and young people
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
- Level 5 qualification in Children and Young People (or willingness to study towards the Level 5 Diploma)
- Experience working with children or in residential care is preferred
- Resilience and the ability to handle challenging situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Naturally caring and compassionate nature
- Attentiveness to individual needs of young people
