Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider in children’s residential care, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant House Manager to join their team in Ribbleton. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives. As an Assistant House Manager, you will support and care for vulnerable children, working closely with a small staff team to deliver high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of care and independence programmes for young people
  • Assist in managing and supervising a team of staff members
  • Oversee shift patterns and ensure effective team coordination
  • Foster positive relationships with young people, understanding their individual needs
  • Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children and young people

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Level 5 qualification in Children and Young People (or willingness to study towards the Level 5 Diploma)
  • Experience working with children or in residential care is preferred
  • Resilience and the ability to handle challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Naturally caring and compassionate nature
  • Attentiveness to individual needs of young people
