Salary: £28,490 - £30,050 per annum (based on up to 40 hours/week) + Sleep Allowance £3,150 - £5,250

Job Description:

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care to young people aged 5-18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH), Cognition and Learning Needs, and Communication and Interaction Difficulties. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of residential support staff, ensuring high standards of care and safety
  • Develop & implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs of children
  • Foster a positive, nurturing environment promoting emotional wellbeing
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, safeguarding protocols, and Ofsted regulations
  • Support young people's development through engaging activities and educational opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, streamlining documentation using bespoke IT systems
  • Participate in staff supervision, training, and continuous professional development
  • Manage daily operations on a rotating shift basis, including sleep-ins and handovers

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working within children’s residential services or similar social care roles
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a care setting
  • Recognised Level 3 Child Care Qualification (or equivalent); Level 4/5 preferred
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, SEMH, and child development
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Motivated to support and empower young people in their journey to independence
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
