An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring and dedicated Team Leader to join a leading specialist provider in Cardiff. This full-time, permanent role offers the chance to develop your leadership skills while supporting individuals with complex needs in a supportive and engaging environment. As a Team Leader, you will oversee a cluster of services, ensuring high-quality care and promoting independence for service users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Service Manager and share responsibility for managing the team and service delivery
- Plan staff rotas and manage team schedules
- Ensure compliance with care standards and regulations
- Promote independence and support individuals to make their own choices
- Ensure the safety and well-being of service users
- Follow individual care plans and support personal care needs
- Facilitate community activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips
- Encourage social engagement and participation in various activities
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to work towards Level 3
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or similar role
- Resilient and compassionate nature
- Valid driver’s license (essential due to role requirements)
- Comfortable providing personal care and supporting individuals with complex needs
