Team Manager – Specialist Residential Care (Autism & Complex Needs)
Location: Hermitage, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Hours: 37 hours per week (Early & Late shifts across a 7-day week)

Job Overview
We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Team Manager to lead a team of specialist practitioners within our residential provision for autistic young people with complex needs. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of our residential homes, ensuring the highest standards of health, wellbeing, and personalized support are maintained.
As a leader, you will model best practices and empower your team through coaching and professional development, ensuring that every young person in our care has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life in a nurturing, autism-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Leadership & Management: Line manage, coach, and mentor a team of support practitioners to deliver exceptional care.

Operational Oversight: Oversee staff attendance, sickness, and performance management, including monthly check-ins and performance improvement plans.

Staff Development: Support the recruitment and induction of new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed for the role.

Specialist Support: Implement autism-specific strategies to enhance the learning, communication, and wellbeing of the young people.

Care Planning: Assist the team in interpreting and applying individualized, collective care plans to ensure consistent and high-quality support.

Personal Care: Provide and oversee personal care delivered in alignment with individual care and dignity protocols.

Shift Management: Work a flexible schedule including Early shifts (7am–4pm) and Late shifts (2pm–10pm) across a seven-day rota.
Essential Requirements

Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is required.

Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a support worker, specifically working with individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities.

Leadership Skills: Experience in line management, coaching, or mentoring small teams is highly desirable.

Driving Licence: A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred due to the location of the service.
