Job Title: Relief Support Worker – Children and Young People
Location: Pontyclun, South Wales, UK
Salary: Starting at £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

As a Relief Support Worker, you will support children and young people in their daily activities, outings, and special events, helping to promote their independence and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in their daily routines and interests
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
- Support and participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to Butlins
- Promote the young person's independence and overall wellbeing
- Protect children and young people from health and safety risks
- Provide emotional and practical support within the home environment
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents effectively
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or within a social care setting (minimum 6 months)
- Relationship-building skills and resilience in challenging situations
- Understanding of trauma, homelessness, domestic abuse, and their impacts
- Crisis response awareness and emotional resilience
- Empathetic, caring, and adaptable nature
- TMVA - Restraint Training certificate or willingness to undergo training
- Valid UK driving licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
