Therapeutic Support Worker - Children's Home (Cwmbran)

Salary: £26,910 plus £55 per sleep in shift

Your role will be central to providing consistent, trauma-informed care and becoming a stable, positive role model for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. If you have a passion for therapeutic approaches and creating positive outcomes, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality therapeutic childcare in line with individual care plans.

Act as a trusted role model and mentor for young people who have experienced trauma.

Support daily routines, life skills development, and educational engagement.

Implement approved behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.

Maintain accurate records in line with Welsh CIW regulations.

Work collaboratively with managers, therapists, and external agencies.
Essential Requirements

Experience working with Children and Young People in a residential or similar setting.

Ability to demonstrate a working understanding of therapeutic care models and safeguarding.

Willingness to undertake the QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (if not already held).
