Job Description:

We are recruiting for a caring and dedicated individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Waking Night Support Worker at a family residential centre in Market Harborough. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work with children and young people in a nurturing environment, supporting their independence, well-being, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trust and develop nurturing relationships that promote the service user's independence, well-being, strengths, and capabilities
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best support for children and young people
- Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming environment
- Document information accurately and ensure all records are current and compliant with policies
- Adhere strictly to safeguarding policies and procedures to protect vulnerable individuals
- Promote, monitor, and maintain a safe environment at all times, responding effectively to any issues
Essential Requirements:
- Hold, or be willing to achieve within the required timeframe, the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Relevant experience working with children, young people, and their families
- Good understanding of safeguarding practices and the protection of vulnerable groups
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, with advance notice for day-time mandatory training and supervision sessions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships
Additional Information:
- The role is based primarily at Welland House but requires flexibility to travel to other homes in Hinckley, Coalville, Mountsorrel, Braunstone, and Syston as needed
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Contract: Permanent, full-time position
