Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs within a residential setting. You will work overnight shifts, providing essential support and promoting independence for the individuals in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Waking Night Support Worker based in Barry, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting individuals on a 1-1 basis to promote independence and personal development
- Assisting with personal care and routine checks throughout the night
- Responding to individuals waking unsettled and providing reassurance and support
- Contributing to a safe, supportive, and respectful environment within the residential setting
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Waking Night Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and occasional day shifts in Barry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to work well under pressure
