Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join our team at a leading educational and care provider in Preston, Lancashire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support young people with complex needs in a fully integrated residential setting, helping them build confidence, skills, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Waking Night Support Worker based in Preston, your daily duties will include:
- Providing overnight care and support to young people aged 8 to 18 with Autistic Spectrum and associated complex needs.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents throughout the night shift.
- Supporting children and young people with their personal care, routines, and emotional needs.
- Assisting with behavioural management and implementing tailored care plans.
- Contributing to a positive, nurturing environment that promotes development and inclusion.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Waking Night Support Worker, you will need:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Care qualification.
- A full UK driving licence (essential).
- Experience working with children or young people in a care or educational setting is desirable but not mandatory.
- A commitment to safeguarding and protecting vulnerable young people, including undergoing an enhanced DBS check.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including overnight shifts.
