Salary: Starting £26,142 plus Night Shift Premium (1/3 additional hourly rate)

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join an innovative Short Breaks Service at a beautiful new residential home in Rothley, Leicestershire. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people (ages 0-18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex needs, and challenging behaviors, helping them develop independence, build friendships, and enjoy enriching experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Trust: Develop caring, nurturing relationships that promote the independence, wellbeing, and strengths of our young service users.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with parents, carers, and multi-agency professionals to support individual care plans.
  • Maintain the Home: Assist with general upkeep, cleaning, and setting up a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document all relevant information and ensure records are consistently updated.
  • Safety & Safeguarding: Strictly follow safeguarding policies to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve within a specified timeframe).
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children and young people in residential or care settings.
  • Mobility: Valid UK driving license and own vehicle for travel between locations.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a shift pattern that includes nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Training Commitment: Willingness to attend occasional daytime mandatory training, supervision, and consultations with prior notice.
