Waking Night Support Worker

Salary: £11.00 – £12.00 per hour
Contract: Permanent (Full-Time or Part-Time options available)
Shift Pattern: 22:00 – 08:00 (10-hour shifts)
Job Overview
We are a specialist care provider dedicated to supporting some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK. We are currently seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to join our residential team at one of our specialized homes in Surrey, supporting young people aged 10 to 18.
Working alongside another Waking Night colleague, you will ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment during the night hours. You will provide high-quality personal care while ensuring that every young person’s rights to privacy, independence, and dignity are maintained at all times.
Flexible Options:

Full-Time: Average 40 hours per week (4 shifts per week).

Part-Time: 2–3 shifts per week.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Safe Environment: Maintain a firm, caring, and well-ordered environment throughout the night.

Care Planning: Actively participate in care planning, risk assessments, and behavior management strategies.

Safeguarding: Act as a lead in protecting the health and well-being of young people, adhering to our rigorous "what if I’m right" reporting policy.

Administrative Tasks: Update daily logs and record incidents, interactions, and interventions using digital care management systems.

Behavior Management: Implement agreed-upon strategies for managing challenging behavior with empathy and consistency.

Professional Liaison: Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Compliance: Stay updated on safeguarding legislation, internal policies, and the service's Statement of Purpose.
