The Opportunities
Due to an increase in demand for the 2026 academic year, we are actively seeking fluent Welsh-speaking Teachers for roles within Welsh Medium Mainstream and ALN settings. We have vacancies in:

Primary (Cynradd): Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 Class Teachers delivering the curriculum through the medium of Welsh.

Secondary (Uwchradd): Subject specialists (Maths, Science, Cymraeg, Humanities, etc.) capable of teaching their subject entirely in Welsh.

ALN Provisions: Teachers with experience supporting pupils with additional needs in a Welsh-medium environment.
Key Responsibilities

Welsh Medium Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons entirely through the medium of Welsh, ensuring high standards of literacy and oracy.

Curriculum: Teach in line with the Curriculum for Wales, promoting the Welsh language and culture (Cymreictod).

Assessment: Assess pupil progress and provide feedback in Welsh.

Language Promotion: Support the school’s Siarter Iaith targets to encourage social use of Welsh among pupils.

Collaboration: Work effectively with support staff and parents, communicating fluently in Welsh.
Requirements

Language: Fluent Welsh speaker (Written & Spoken) is essential.

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (PGCE, BEd, or equivalent).

Experience: Experience teaching within a Welsh medium or bilingual setting.

Registration: Must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as a School Teacher.

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Vetro can assist with a new application if required).
