  • Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and develop greater independence.

  • Building trusting relationships with pupils and creating a safe, inclusive environment.

  • Working alongside teachers, the ALNCo and pastoral staff to support individual pupil needs.

  • Assisting with classroom activities, behaviour management and learning resources.

  • Monitoring pupil progress and sharing relevant feedback with teaching and support staff.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.

What are we looking for?

  • An understanding of emotional wellbeing, behavioural needs and the challenges some pupils face in education.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • A calm, empathetic and adaptable approach to supporting young people.

  • The confidence to work both independently and as part of a wider school team.

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.

Desirable: Experience or training in emotional wellbeing interventions such as ELSA, Talkabout or THRIVE would be an advantage.

Why work with Vetro Education?

  • Competitive daily rates of pay.

  • Access to training and professional development opportunities.

  • Support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant.
