Job Title: Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant
Location: Pontypridd, Wales
Salary: £92.58 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in Pontypridd. This is an excellent opportunity to support classroom activities within the foundation phase of a vibrant primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the Class Teacher to foster an inclusive and positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to pupils in the foundation phase
- Work in partnership with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver engaging activities
- Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and academic skills
- Assist with behaviour management and create a positive classroom atmosphere
- Support pupils with additional learning needs and language requirements
- Contribute to the overall organisation and smooth running of the classroom
Requirements:
- Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent communication skills
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and development
- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
