Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role in Newport, Wales. This Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children in the foundation phase and helping create an inclusive, positive classroom environment. As a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant in Newport, Wales, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to pupils in the foundation phase as a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant in Newport, Wales
- Work in partnership with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver engaging activities
- Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and academic skills
- Assist with behaviour management and help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
- Support pupils with additional learning needs and language requirements
- Contribute to the overall organisation and smooth running of the classroom
Requirements:
- Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent communication skills for this Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant role in Newport, Wales
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children’s learning and development
- Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
