A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role in Newport, Wales. This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children in the foundation phase and fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment. As a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant in Newport, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant based in Newport, Wales, your daily duties will include:
- Providing general classroom support to pupils in the foundation phase in Newport, Wales.
- Collaborating with the Class Teacher to plan and deliver engaging activities.
- Supporting the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Assisting with behaviour management and helping to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and language requirements.
- Contributing to the organisation and smooth running of the classroom.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Welsh-speaking Primary School Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Fluent Welsh speaker with excellent communication skills for this role in Newport, Wales.
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is desirable.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children’s learning and development.
