Job Title: Support Worker - Homeless Women & Baby Project

Job Description:
Are you a compassionate and adaptable support worker seeking a meaningful role supporting vulnerable women and their infants? A leading specialist provider is looking for dedicated support workers to join their relief pool supporting a residential project in Cardiff. This position offers the chance to work within a high-quality supported living environment, delivering practical and emotional support to women facing homelessness, trauma, or domestic abuse. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver trauma-informed support with empathy and understanding, recognising complex backgrounds.
- Maintain health and safety standards through regular checks and monitoring.
- Assist mothers with infant care, modelling positive parenting and establishing routines.
- Support independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and navigating local resources.
- Manage challenging behaviours and emotional distress with calm, professional de-escalation techniques.
- Accurately record incidents and progress notes for the team.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Experience working in social care or support roles, ideally with vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including waking nights from 20:00 to 05:30.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
