Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Barry, South Wales
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support young people's social development
- Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or weekends away in holiday parks
- Promote independence and emotional wellbeing of young people
- Maintain safety and wellbeing by following care plans and guidelines
- Provide practical and emotional support to children and young people
- Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents through positive intervention
- Attend restraint training and be willing to undergo further training as required
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to attend a 3-day restraint course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
