Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Barry, South Wales
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
• Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support young people's social development
• Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or weekends away in holiday parks
• Promote independence and emotional wellbeing of young people
• Maintain safety and wellbeing by following care plans and guidelines
• Provide practical and emotional support to children and young people
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents through positive intervention
• Attend restraint training and be willing to undergo further training as required

Requirements:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• At least 6 months experience working with children or within a social care setting
• Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to attend a 3-day restraint course
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
