Job Title: Young Persons Support Worker
Location: Bridgend, Wales
Salary: £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in young people's lives? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Young Persons Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people facing various challenges, including mental health issues, trauma, homelessness, and substance misuse. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and development of vulnerable young individuals in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
• Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young clients
• Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children and young people
• Participate in weekend and evening activities, ranging from outdoor pursuits to social outings
• Protect children and young people from health and safety risks
• Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
• Support behaviour management and minimise challenging incidents

Requirements:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
• Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day course
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
