Job Description:
Projects Manager required to oversee service delivery and ensure high-quality housing-related support for vulnerable individuals aged 18 and over. As a Projects Manager in Bridgend, you will support teams to deliver effective, trauma-informed services, working closely with funders and partnership agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support staff to maintain a high-quality service that reflects organisational values and meets funder and stakeholder requirements
- Provide effective reactionary support, advice and guidance to colleagues, including support and supervision and attendance at reflective practice sessions and team meetings
- Support colleagues to manage risk and safeguarding concerns appropriately
- Manage and record annual leave approvals, sickness absences and return-to-work processes for line-managed colleagues
- Apply Health & Safety procedures in line with organisational policies and work practices
- Ensure colleagues complete required training and that new colleagues receive a full organisational induction
- Ensure clear handovers occur when colleagues are away from work (e.g., annual leave/sick leave)
- Ensure returns are clear and accurate prior to submission to HR, Payroll, Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ensure appropriate cover for all projects (including on call) to support effective service delivery
- Monitor service performance against project action plans and funding requirements
- Manage caseloads and referrals via the Locata Gateway, including urgent/emergency needs
- Ensure risk assessments, safety planning, and safeguarding processes are in place and acted on swiftly (including MARAC, MAPPA, and child/adult safeguarding processes)
- Liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies to build and sustain effective project links
- Complete regular file and case management audits to ensure consistency of service delivery
- Support finance processes by ensuring authorised spending stays within budget and liaising closely with CQAM on expenditure
- Represent the service at local partnership and commissioner meetings and support positive promotion of services
- Participate in support and supervision with the designated CQAM and reflective practice sessions
Requirements:
- Experience of line management in a support environment
- Experience managing teams supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health, offending, substance misuse, childhood trauma, and being care experienced
- Experience working with a focus on psychologically and trauma-informed practice
- Knowledge of housing and homelessness issues for vulnerable groups, including those impacted by domestic abuse
- Knowledge of risk management measures and safety planning
- Experience supporting teams to engage people with complex needs who struggle to engage
- Ability to coordinate and effectively manage a diverse team
- Strong computer skills
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with individuals supported, colleagues and professionals
- Ability to liaise effectively with partner agencies to ensure smooth and consistent service delivery
- Positive attitude towards people with support needs and risk issues
- Willingness to cover for project staff in their absence and undertake reasonable duties to support smooth running of the organisation
- Driving licence and access to a car
