Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Barry, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join their residential services in Barry. Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people with their daily activities and interests
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the young residents
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s interests and development
- Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or weekends at holiday parks
- Protect children and young people from health and safety risks
- Provide emotional and practical support within the home
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
- Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents effectively
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to attend a 3-day restraint training course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
