Job Title: Young Persons Support Worker
Location: Various locations, UK
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in young people's lives? We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Young Persons Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and young people facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, trauma, and substance misuse. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and development of vulnerable young individuals in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young clients
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support the children and young people
  • Participate in weekend and evening activities, ranging from outdoor pursuits to social outings
  • Protect children and young people from health and safety risks
  • Provide emotional and practical support within the care setting
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
  • Support behaviour management and help minimise challenging incidents

Requirements:

  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care environment
  • Restraint trained or willing to undergo a 3-day restraint training course
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
