Job Title: Young Persons Support Worker
Location: Llandrindod Wells, Powys, Wales
Salary: £14.24-24.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Job Description:

A leading specialist provider is seeking dedicated Young Persons Support Workers to join their team in Llandrindod Wells. This role offers an engaging opportunity to support children and young people facing challenges such as mental health issues, trauma, homelessness, and substance misuse. Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support young people's development and enjoyment
- Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or weekends at holiday parks
- Promote independence and emotional wellbeing of young people
- Protect children and young people from health and safety risks
- Provide practical and emotional support within the care environment
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Support behaviour management and minimise challenging incidents
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Restraint training certification (or willingness to undergo a 3-day course)
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
