Job Title: Youth Support Worker – Specialist Alternative Provision
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside, UK
Salary: £13.68 per hour

This Youth Support Worker role offers an exciting opportunity to support boys and girls aged 11 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Key Responsibilities:

• Offer day-to-day emotional and practical support to young people
• Motivate and empower young people to gain independence
• Provide support and advice in line with support plans and keyworker requests
• Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
• Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
• Respond effectively to crisis situations with a forward-thinking attitude
• Support young people in overcoming trauma related to homelessness, domestic abuse, or other adverse experiences

Requirements:

• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
• Strong relationship-building skills and resilience
• Understanding of trauma and its impacts on young people
• Ability to remain calm and collected in challenging situations
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
