Salary £27,000 - £32,000

Due to promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen to manage a small administration team in a totally unique and sustainable setting.

DUTIES INCLUDE;

ADMINISTRATION

  • Acting as the operational link for the Management team; including overseeing the diary of the principal
  • Project support to the Management team
  • Manage the administration function including the administrative offices and reception areas
  • Provide information and support for the preparation and production of all records and publications
  • Manage ordering systems including tendering arrangements
  • Work closely with HR to arrange training, record attendance and maintain records for sickness, holidays and absence
  • Assist and manage minute taking at meetings
  • Manage procurement
  • Liaise with Finance department

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Carry out all aspects of H&S tasks; audits, weekly monthly and termly tests
  • Maintain H&S records
  • Complete and assist other staff with risk assessments
  • Ensure external contractors and H&S checks and inspections of plant equipment are carried out
  • Attend safety related courses and training as necessary

FACILITIES & ESTATES MANAGEMENT

  • Create and maintain cleaning schedules
  • Manage the cleaning team; monitoring work at each site

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • NVQ Level 3 / 4 in Business and Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Experience of holding a senior administrative role that affects the operations of the organisation
  • Experience of managing the day-to-day operations of an office or department, including associated facilities
  • Experience of working in Education or other public sector environment
  • Experience of managing the workload of others
  • Highly computer literate
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Able to demonstrate high levels of motivation and enthusiasm for all duties
  • Full clean drivers licence and use of a car
