Vetro Education is recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Caerphilly and the surrounding areas.

We have a variety of opportunities available, from flexible day-to-day supply work to long-term placements, allowing you to choose assignments that suit your lifestyle and career goals.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play an important role in keeping pupils engaged, maintaining a positive classroom environment and ensuring learning continues in the absence of their usual teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects using work prepared by teaching staff.

• Create a positive, engaging and productive classroom environment.

• Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policies.

• Encourage pupils to stay focused, complete their work and achieve their potential.

• Adapt to different classroom settings, year groups and school environments.

• Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.

• Support the school's safeguarding and wellbeing procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

You don't necessarily need teaching qualifications to become a Cover Supervisor! We're looking for individuals who are confident, adaptable and passionate about working with young people.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience leading or supervising groups of young people, whether in schools, sports coaching, youth work or similar settings.

• Strong communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.

• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to think on your feet.

• Flexibility and willingness to work across different secondary schools.

• An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
