Job Description:
Vetro are seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a primary school in Liverpool. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support classroom teaching and contribute to the development of our students within a vibrant school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver high-quality education across the school, primarily focusing on Year 6.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) based in Liverpool, your daily duties will include:

• Providing class cover and supporting teaching activities across the school, particularly in Year 6.
• Leading small group interventions and 1-1 support to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Assisting with planning and delivering lessons, including phonics and maths support, in collaboration with the class teacher.
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and motivating learners to achieve their potential.
• Liaising with the SENCO and outside agencies to ensure tailored support for individual students.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will need:

• An appropriate qualification such as NVQ Level 3, QTS, or equivalent.
• Proven experience working in a primary school setting, ideally with Upper Key Stage 2 students.
• Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence (if applicable).
• Knowledge of how children develop and learn, with the ability to support literacy and numeracy development.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.14297
