Key Responsibilities:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting teachers in delivering the national curriculum across the primary phase.
• Assisting in the planning, resource management, and assessment of pupils’ progress.
• Supervising classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Providing targeted support for pupils with SEND, EAL, or those who are underachieving, encouraging independence and inclusion.
• Contributing to the development of school policies and supporting the wider school community.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• Demonstrable levels of numeracy and literacy equivalent to GCSE (A-C) or NVQ Level 3.
• Recent training in relevant learning strategies, such as English Friendly.
• Experience working with children in a primary setting.
• Mandatory compliance with safeguarding policies, including an Enhanced DBS Check.
• A positive, approachable manner with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
