Salary: £173 per day minimum
Employment Type: Part-time - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join a highly successful and dynamic department in Monmouth from January 2027 (or earlier). This role offers the opportunity to become part of an experienced team in a school renowned for its excellent academic results and inclusive ethos. The successful candidate will have the chance to teach A-Level Mathematics, including Pure, Mechanics, Statistics, and Further Mathematics, in a thriving Sixth Form.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teacher of Mathematics, your daily duties will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with a focus on A-Level courses.
- Supporting students to achieve high standards in Mathematics, including Further Mathematics and Statistics.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the Mathematics department and participating in school-wide initiatives.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to maximise learning outcomes.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teacher of Mathematics, you will need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at GCSE and A-Level, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.
- A passion for inspiring students and raising aspirations.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
