Job Description:
Our client is seeking a dedicated SEN Specialist Teacher to join their inclusive and nurturing school community in the Wirral.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the school’s specialist SEND provision, supporting pupils aged 4-11 with a range of complex learning needs.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, specialist teaching and targeted interventions to help pupils achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
As a SEN Specialist Teacher based in the Wirral, your daily duties will include:
- Delivering high-quality, specialist teaching and targeted interventions across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
- Supporting pupils with multiple learning barriers to make strong academic, social, emotional, and communication progress.
- Using structured, therapeutic, sensory-based, and multi-sensory approaches to learning.
- Working closely with the SENDCo, teachers, support staff, and external professionals to create inclusive and ambitious provision.
- Enabling pupils to access mainstream learning where appropriate, building confidence and independence.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a SEN Specialist Teacher, you will need:
- An appropriate teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
- Experience working with pupils with SEND in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEND strategies, interventions, and EHCP processes.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and eligibility to work in the UK.
