Job Description:
Vetro are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a reputable school in Wirral. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support students with special educational needs within a caring and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENDCO and classroom staff to promote student development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant based in Wirral, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting students' development in a safe, secure, and challenging environment.
- Meeting the physical and medical needs of students according to individual care plans while encouraging independence.
- Developing an understanding of students’ specific needs to facilitate effective learning.
- Promoting inclusion within the classroom and displaying students’ work to reflect their achievements.
- Assisting with personal hygiene and self-help skills.
- Facilitating small group and 1-1 interventions such as social skills, homework support, and other targeted activities as directed by the SENDCO.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- A positive attitude and a commitment to supporting student development.
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly in special educational needs settings, is desirable but not essential.
- An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
