Job Description:
Our client, a thriving and multicultural comprehensive school in Newport, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support teaching and learning within a vibrant educational environment, working closely with staff and students aged 11-18.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant based in Newport, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting the delivery of lessons under the direct instruction of teaching staff to enhance student learning.
- Building positive relationships with students and providing empathetic support to meet their individual needs.
- Assisting with classroom management and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all learners.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Experience working with young people aged 11-18.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff.
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of learners’ needs to foster positive relationships.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
