Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive SEND team at a School in the Wirral.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant school environment, supporting students with special educational needs to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant based in the Wirral, your daily duties will include:
- Providing effective support to students with SEND across the department
- Supporting students to access learning and participate positively in lessons
- Delivering targeted interventions tailored to individual needs
- Supporting students with a range of communication, learning, and developmental needs
- Encouraging positive social interactions, wellbeing, and engagement
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEND colleagues to achieve positive outcomes
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (or willingness to enrol on our Apprenticeship Programme)
- Experience working with young people with SEND in a school or similar setting
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to inclusion and helping every student reach their potential
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
